You know, Country & Western!

This ain't your Dad's country music. It's your Granddad's! None of that new Nashville bullshit either. This is where you'll find what I consider the best in Country (Classic and Alt), Folk, and Americana.

Elvis Costello - Radio Sweetheart

I’ve had this in my head all morning and this is the most countrified version I can find from his Almost Blue country cover days. Hey, it’s got a pedal steel in it!

Carlene Carter has a version, but it’s not very good. It’d make a for a great honky tonk cover if any bands out there are listening.

Kev Russell’s Junker - Indoor Fireworks

Really outstanding Elvis Costello cover.

John Prine, Elvis Costello, Lyle Lovett, Ray LaMontagne - Loretta (Townes Van Zandt)

Elvis Costello & the Imposters, Ray LaMontagne, Levon Helm, Nick Lowe, Richard Thompson and Allen Toussaint - The Weight

I remember watching this when it came out and the sheer amazement of all the talent on stage.
